And it all runs locally on your Mac, without project or client data going into someone else's cloud.

Pages together with WebDonkey Premium

Buy Pages Personal or Business together with WebDonkey Premium, or while your Premium subscription runs, and you get a bundle discount on the first term of Pages.

  • Pages Personal and Premium together, first month (personal account) …
  • Pages Business and Premium together, first month (business account) …
  • Pages Business and Premium together on the yearly plan, first year (business account) …
  • The SEO package is a monthly subscription and belongs to a licence with WebDonkey Premium.
  • Pages also runs without WebDonkey, and without a licence as Free with one website. Pages Personal is for personal accounts, the other plans are for business accounts.
  • The maintenance package is for business accounts, from 10 websites. It belongs to a licence with WebDonkey Premium.

Also included, and not counted

Not in the bill, because elsewhere you pay for these once, not at all, or only in some cases. They are in the app all the same:

  • WebDonkey Editor with code, terminal, Git and Claude side by side, its Premium features unlocked by your Premium licence
  • Container management with a UI, even in larger companies without a paid desktop licence (on a free engine)
  • Database app for local and remote databases
  • Server tools over SSH: logs, cron jobs, mailboxes
  • PHP sandbox with your php.ini
  • AI assistant that stays on your Mac
  • Virtual machines for testing

Reference figures are official list prices of the entry tier of typical services in each area, billed yearly, without sales tax, rounded and checked on 28 September 2026, deliberately without naming vendors. Some of them also exist for free with limits. Your Premium price is the one you pay at checkout (country, private or business); running promotions are not included. Scope and limits are in the Free/Premium comparison. Our own prices in this section come live from the shop, as in the price table. Compare Free and Premium

After the purchase

Your key sits in your customer account. Where it goes in WebDonkey, the Editor and Pages, and how add-ons join your licence, is all on one page.

Activate License

Questions about licences

What costs nothing, and what do I need Premium for?

Free is a complete local web server: unlimited sites, six services at a time, HTTPS for three of them, the whole toolbox, monitoring for one project with three pages and the local AI. Premium takes the limits off and adds the tools you use when working for clients: remote over SSH, backups, and the embedded mail, database and log views. SEO audits and the accessibility check come with the SEO package, looking after client websites with the maintenance package. The comparison above shows every row on its own.

How does the Premium licence work?

Premium is a subscription with a travelling seat. The key appears in your customer account after purchase and is activated in the app under Settings. One seat, any number of Macs: the licence is active wherever you are working. Quit the app on one machine and the other is free right away. Premium stays active without internet until the end of the paid period, and Free keeps getting every stable update.

Can I use Pages and WebDonkey with one key?

Yes. A Pages licence comes with a key of its own. In your customer account under “My WebDonkey licences” you couple it to one of your WebDonkey licences. From then on your WebDonkey key works in Pages too, and the Pages key keeps working. Both apps then share one seat; on the same Mac they count as one device. Each licence keeps its own term and subscription. Coupling never happens automatically, and you can undo it in your account. Coupling and undoing count towards the same limit of three changes in 30 days. In a company account the buyer couples; a licence shared with staff takes its coupled products along.

Which plans are there for WebDonkey Pages?

Pages is billed by the number of your websites. Personal (for private customers) and Business (for companies) include 3 websites each, Studio 10 and Agency 30. To the company plans Business, Studio and Agency you add add-ons of 5 websites each whenever you need them; if the plan ends and an add-on runs longer, it becomes a licence of its own that you assign to a running company plan or cancel (after a full refund, chargeback or termination for good cause it ends as well). For more than 50 websites we make you an individual offer. All plans are subscriptions: Personal monthly, the company plans monthly or yearly; a year costs ten monthly payments. No Pages plan includes WebDonkey Premium; Personal and Business are cheaper in their first term together with WebDonkey Premium. Without a licence Pages runs as Free with one website: building, checking, backing up and the ZIP export work in full, and the exported website then carries the note “Built with WebDonkey Pages” in its footer. Publishing straight to your server, testing the connection and preparing the server start with Personal.

What counts as a website, and what does archiving do?

What counts are your active websites, that is every one that is not archived. Drafts and imported websites count too, subpages of a website are not limited. When you archive a website, Pages puts its last build as a ZIP into its folder, its data and history stay there, and its place in the quota becomes free. As soon as a place is free again you reactivate it, nothing has to be deleted. If you move to a smaller plan or your subscription ends, nothing is lost: the websites created first stay active (an imported one counts as newly created), the rest are locked. Locked websites can still be viewed, exported, backed up and archived, just no longer edited, checked or published.

Can a company pass licences on to its staff?

Yes, with a company account (account type “commercial”, chosen when you register). Under Team in your customer account you invite staff by email and share each licence with exactly one person. That person needs their own customer account with exactly that address and accepts the invitation. You keep managing purchase, subscription, key and device. If you withdraw a share or someone leaves the team, the licence gets a new key and the previous device is signed out. Need several licences? Simply buy them in the quantity you need.

Do I get a bonus for reporting bugs?

We like to thank you for helpful bug reports with a bonus, for example a discount or free months on your subscription. There is no fixed entitlement; we decide per report. When a bonus is waiting for you, you get an email and find it in your customer account under Bonus. There you choose which of your running subscriptions it applies to and see beforehand what you will pay and from when. You can redeem it for a limited time, and we remind you by email before it expires. Without a subscription you get a voucher code instead. Reports from your team count for the company account.

Can I cancel or withdraw?

Cancel, yes: at any time without logging in via “Cancel contracts here” at the bottom of every page, or in your customer account. You cancel each subscription individually to the end of its current term: the monthly plan to the end of the month, the yearly plan (business customers only) to the end of the year, otherwise it renews for another year. Until then your licence keeps running as normal; there is no pro rata refund for the remaining time. Withdrawing from the subscription is usually no longer possible: at checkout you agree that we begin performing the contract straight away and acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends with that. The withdrawal policy in the footer spells it out.

How do I get the SEO package, and how do I assign it to a licence?

SEO audits come with the SEO package, not with Free or Premium. The package is a monthly subscription and always belongs to a licence with WebDonkey Premium. If you buy it together with Premium, or you have exactly one licence it fits, we assign it automatically. Otherwise you assign it in your customer account under “My WebDonkey licences” to the licence it should belong to. Until then, your account and the app show a notice. After that your usual key unlocks SEO; you do not need a new one. You can change the assignment, at most three times in 30 days. If the Premium licence ends and the SEO package runs longer, it becomes a licence of its own with a new key: you assign it to a running Premium licence or cancel it. Until then it unlocks nothing but is still charged; nothing is refunded. After a withdrawal, full refund, chargeback or termination for good cause it ends as well. If you as a consumer withdraw from the contract for the Premium licence, you are no longer bound by the SEO package either and get back what you paid for it, even if you bought it in a different order.

What is the maintenance package, and how do I book it?

With the maintenance package you look after client websites from inside WebDonkey: staging, local test copies, taking changes to live one by one, updates, vulnerabilities, checksums, visual comparisons, flow tests, a monthly report and a status page. It is for business accounts, with 10, 30 or 100 websites, monthly or yearly, and a year costs ten monthly payments. Add-ons bring 10 more websites each, and for more than 150 websites we make you an offer of your own. The package always belongs to a licence with WebDonkey Premium; Premium itself is not included. If you buy it together with Premium or have exactly one suitable licence, we assign it automatically. Otherwise you assign it in your account under “My WebDonkey licences”. When the Premium licence ends, the maintenance package and any add-ons that run longer become licences of their own with a new key: you assign them again or cancel them. Until then they unlock nothing but are still charged; nothing is refunded. After a full refund, chargeback or termination for good cause they end as well.
